Besser spät als nie sagt man ja. Nun ist endlich die 8te Beta des Firefox 4 erschienen. Auf den ersten Blick fühlt sich die neue Beta leicht schneller an. Die Addon Verwaltung und Firefox Sync wurden noch einmal überarbeitet. Neue Funktionen werden bis zur finalen Version keine mehr hinzukommen, somit kann man getrost schon auf den Firefox 4 umsteigen. Es lohnt sich.

Die portable Version ist wie immer bei Caschy zu finden. Auch mit dieser Version sollte der Google Body Browser funktionieren
Ist zwar auch schon ein paar Tage her, sollte man aber dennoch wissen. Googles Chrome Browser ist in der Entwickler Version inzwischen bei 10 (10.0.612.3) angelangt. Geändert hat sich zur Version 9 nicht allzu viel:

Auch Pidgin legt kurz vor Weihnachten noch einmal nach und veröffentlicht Version 2.7.8 des Multi Messengers.

Apples iTunes wurde ebenfalls aktualisiert, so hat man bei der Version 10.1.1 nur ein paar kleine Probleme behoben.

Wer Probleme mit dem automatischen Update hat, soll heißen das Programm funktioniert nach der Aktualisierung nicht mehr. Der sollte sich einfach die komplette Version 10.1.1 auf den Rechner speichern und noch einmal drüberinstallieren, dann sollte alles wieder funktionieren.
Wer eine Alternative zu iTunes sucht, der ist mit Songbird ganz gut bedient. Ich hatte schon einmal kurz darüber geschrieben. Die stabile Version 1.8.0 ist zwar immer noch aktuell, jedoch wird die Entwicklerversion stets aktualisiert. So ist man hier inzwischen bei 1.9.1 angelangt.
