Verschwommene Schrift im Internet Explorer oder Firefox beheben

Sowohl im Internet Explorer 9, als auch im Firefox 4 bzw. 5 kommt es bei manchen Anwendern zu einer schlechten Darstellung der Schrift. Diese wirkt unscharf oder verschwommen. Das Problem der fehlerhaften Darstellung liegt am Rendering der Schriftarten. Nun hat MS eine offizielle Lösung für das Problem veröffentlicht.

Im Firefox ließ sich das Problem bisher noch umgehen, indem man die Hardwarebeschleunigung deaktivierte und über "about:config" den Wert "gfx.direct2d.disabled" auf "true" setzte. Für den IE wurde das Update KB2454826 empfohlen.

Um das Darstellungsproblem auch für den Internet Explorer dauerhaft zu lösen, hat Microsoft nun einen Patch (2545698) veröffentlicht, der die verwendeten Windows Schriftarten aktualisiert. Da beide Browser auf diese zurückgreifen, sollte damit die unscharfe Darstellung im IE9 und Firefox behoben werden. Das Update ist für Vista, Windows 7 und Server 2008 verfügbar.
